Stay at Rydges and Get Free Movie Tickets
The Oscar nominations were revealed today, and all the big social media sites are buzzing about who was robbed of a nomination...who will win....who didn't deserve to get nominated, etc. I, for one, have been too busy lately to see a lot of movies. Plus, it's pretty expensive and I have been putting my money towards other stuff (like plane tickets.)
Rydges figured out a way to combine my two favorite things....movies and travel. If you book a Rydges hotel in Australia to stay in February or March, you will get a free movie ticket for every night you stay. I think this sounds pretty great, I mean, who doesn't like free movie tickets?
Of course, there are a few terms and conditions of the free Rydges movie ticket offer, but they are very small. Overall, it's a great deal, so check it out!

Rydges Offers 20% off Food and Cocktails
There are plenty of reasons to enjoy a good meal and a cocktail or two this time of year. Fortunately, Rydges understands your need to party with friends and is offering 20% off at select bars and restaurants. Additionally, you receive a free bottle of wine for every five people. How great is that? Of course, there are some rules and conditions, but the offer is pretty fantastic.

Rydges Banktown Beds Get People Excited
The pillows at Rydges Banktown in Sydney are pretty fantastic, as a fellow travel blogger was nice enough to point out this week. Thanks to the Miles Family.
"You know how at most hotels you get 2 pillows and they are either completely flat or so over stuffed that your neck hurts from sleeping on it?
I think I had 6 actual pillows... not including decorative ones... and they were all perfect!" tags: Rydges Banktown Rydges Hotels posted by Heather at 6.45 AM 0 comments

Rydges Announces Green Globe Hotels
Have you noticed how many hotels have become eco-friendly? Today, it seems that almost every hotel chain has some sort of “green” to it, whether it offers a simply recycling program or is actually constructed entirely from recycled or sustainable materials. Additionally, today’s modern traveler is not just thinking about the spa and the restaurant at the hotel, but is also considering whether or not a hotel is considered eco-friendly before booking.
Rydges is proud to offer two hotels that are Green Globe Bronze Benchmarked Hotels - Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown and Capitol Square Hotel in Sydney. What does this mean, you ask? The Green Globe program helps organizations address the major environmental challenges facing our planet today. They specifically address these key performance areas:
•Reduction in green house gas emissions
•Energy efficiency, conservation and management
•Reduction in the consumption of fresh water and resources
•Ecosystem conservation and management
•Support for local community development
•Improved management of social and cultural issues
•Improved land use planning and management
•Improved air quality and noise reduction
•Improved waste water management
•Waste minimization, reuse and recycling
These two hotels were painstakingly reviewed on a number of factors including energy consumption, paper product and cleaning product use, community commitment and waste disposal. Both have earned the right to display the Green Globe Benchmarked logo. Congratulations to both properties!
