Rydges Bell City Turns One and Celebrates Big Wow, it's been one year since the opening of Rydges Bell City. We would like to invite you to celebrate with us....and celebrate we will.

Rydges Bell City supports the VIC Bushfire victims and firefighters blog.rydges.com

Melbourne's newest and largest multi-purpose accommodation facility – Rydges Bell City- situated in Melbourne's inner northern suburb of Preston has thrown open its doors to victims of Victoria's recent bushfires and also emergency workers.

As well as offering free and discounted accommodation to those affected – Rydges Bell City has also made welcome intra and interstate fire fighters - as has opened a dedicated centre at the property for government agencies and fire researchers.

"Rydges Bell City wanted do anything it could to support both the victims and the heroes of Black Saturday", said Mark Challis - Director of Sales and Marketing – Rydges Bell City - who himself, lives in the fire ravaged area of Cottles Bridge.

"As the closest hotel to the fire affected areas we had to do whatever we could to help and offered free apartments to the Department of Human Services for emergency accommodation", said Challis.

The $120 million dollar seven-storey Bell City complex built by developers Asian Pacific Building Corporation (A.P.B.C.), features 200 state-of-the-art one and two bed Manhattan style studio apartments branded – Rydges Residences and a further 182 one and two bed studio apartments operating as the 4.5 star Rydges Hotel.

Capable of carrying a guest and resident population of 1,500 at any one time – Bell City is a modern, busy precinct generating its own community ambiance and culture, never before seen in Melbourne's Northern suburbs.
